Help customers leverage forecasts to optimize battery usage
Non-expert households struggle to understand their home batteries' powerflows and act upon optimization potential.
Gid import, export, solar charging, discharging - home battery powerflow is hard to understand. One of the most common optimization opportunities is to shift power that is drawn from the battery to times when excess capacity is available.
The challenge: Forecasting excess capacity and syncing it with battery powerflows is key to inform households with relevant and actionable information. MOOST takes care of the complexity so you you can inform your customers with the right message at the right time.

Description
This use case enables you to trigger hyper-personalised messages when
- significant power is consumed from the home battery
- and sufficient excess capacity is forecasted within the next 2 hours
"Forecasted excess capacity" will vary from household to household. MOOST's algorithms forecast the power consumption and power generation so that the forecasted excess capacity can be calculated for each of your customers.
To wow your customers even further, we can enable dedicated messages for different setups:
- if an electric vehicle is connected, the charging state and battery level can be included
- if disaggregated power consumption data is available, specific device shifting recommendations can be included
Click actions
Depending on your system's set-up, we can enable different click actions:
- Deep link into live monitoring (recommended)
- Standard open (default action, usually the home screen or notification center)
For customers who do not wish to be informed in the future, there is a "Don't notify again" button on every message for a granular opt-out.
